# MidasCV extension — design-partner install

**Audience:** design partners and internal demos against **staging**.  
**Not** a Chrome Web Store listing. Do not treat this as a consumer install path.

Baked origin: `https://staging-midascv.hmd.digital`

## 1. Get the pack

- Prefer the zip from [staging MidasCV → /extension](https://staging-midascv.hmd.digital/extension) (`midascv-ext-staging.zip`), or
- Build locally from this repo:

cd midascv-ext
pnpm install
pnpm pack:partner   # → release/midascv-ext-staging.zip
```

Unzip to a stable folder (keep `manifest.json` at the folder root).

## 2. Load unpacked in Chrome

1. Open `chrome://extensions`
2. Enable **Developer mode**
3. **Load unpacked** → select the unzipped folder (the one that contains `manifest.json`)
4. Pin **MidasCV** if you want the popup handy

## 3. Sign in to connect

1. Open the extension popup
2. Confirm origin shows `https://staging-midascv.hmd.digital`
3. Click **Sign in to connect**
4. Complete login on staging (provisioned users only — no self-serve signup); the web app hands a short-lived session to the extension
5. Popup should show **Connected**

## 4. Import a profile

**Paste (preferred):** on a LinkedIn hiring detail/applicants page, open the MidasCV panel, paste name / headline / notes / skills, then import.

**Demo sample:** in the popup, use **Demo sample** when you need a known ResumeDoc without LinkedIn.

## 5. Open talents

In the popup, click **Open talents** (or open `https://staging-midascv.hmd.digital/app/talents`). Confirm the imported talent, then continue the pack loop on the web app.

## Notes

- Staging / partner only. Production CWS is deferred until capture + privacy copy are ready.
- If Sign in fails, rebuild with `pnpm pack:partner` (or `pnpm build:staging`) so the manifest hosts match staging — do not use a localhost `pnpm build` for partner demos.
